
Alexander Spock is an extremely talented flutist and Florida native. In addition to the flute, Alexander also plays and teaches piano. He holds a Bachelors degree in Flute Performance from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. At UNF, Alexander studied with renowned Body Mapping instructor and Jacksonville Symphony flutist Rhonda Cassano. Alexander also holds a Masters degree in Flute Performance from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. There, he studied with famed flutist Dr. Lisa Wolynec. Alexander is also a regular student of William “Wibb” Bennett, one of the most sought-after flute teachers of the last hundred years. Alexander has performed regularly as the Principal Flute for numerous Honor, Collegiate and Intercollegiate Festival Orchestras, including JSYO, UNF, APSU, FMEA, and TMEA in Nashville. Alexander has participated and performed in masterclasses for many of the world’s top flutists, including Vivana Guzman, Eugenia Zuckerman, Lorna McGhee, and Jim Walker.
Alexander is an avid teacher and student of Body Mapping and Alexander Technique. He has studied these directly with teachers for over a decade, including Rhonda Cassano, Simone Parker, and Lorna McGhee. Alexander also specializes in Music History and has taught university classes on American Music History, World Music, and World Popular Music.
