General Music Education for Homeschoolers
Are you a homeschooling mom who would like your child to be introduced to music without a long-term commitment to a single instrument? Homeschool Music Class is for you! Classes are designed to introduce students to a broad range of musical topics in a fun, hands-on format.
General Music Classes
GRADES K-3
Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday 11:30-12:30
$100 per student per semester plus recorder
Minimum of 5 students required for class
Maximum of 12
Fall semester meets September 5th,19th, October 3, 17, 31 November 7, note the change to account for Thanksgiving), December 5th
GRADES 4-7
Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday 11:30-12:30
Fall Semester meets Sept 12, 26, Oct. 10, 24, November 14, 28, Dec. 12
$100 per student per semester plus recorder
Minimum of 5, maximum of 12
Drop off allowed
Class will include rhythm, note reading (treble and bass clef), basic theory, introduction to music history (composers, musical periods and characteristics), beginning composition, elements of music (melody, harmony, rhythm), musical terminology, recorder and/or Bells.
All classes are are held at the main studio at 13018 Crystal Cove Dr Orlando

* Please note there is a one time per family registration fee of $20 to register for any classes with Jen Norvell Studios
Homeschool String Orchestra
If your homeschool student plays a string instrument and would like the opportunity to play with a group, Petite Symphony is for you!
Petite Symphony is for string students ages 7 and older. Petite 1 is for 3rd-5th grade students with zero to less than 1 year experience. Petite 2 is for 3rd to 5th grade students with 1- 2 years experience. Both groups will perform a minimum of twice each season.
Elementary Strings
Petite 1 and 2 meets twice a month on alternating Friday mornings 11:00- 12:00.
Middle and High School Beginning Strings Class
Learn the basics of strings (violin, viola, cello) and play in an ensemble group.
Counts as 1 credit towards elective or performing arts requirement.
Fridays 10:00- 11:00
Cost for all string groups is $420 for the season payable in 2 installments of $210 each September 1 and January 1
Students must provide their own instruments. Instruments can be rented through Atlantic Strings. Click here for rental instructions.
